Gosh, doesn’t life get in the way sometimes. Lockdowns, restrictions and then trying to find your way in the “new normal”. I hate that saying, but it’s becoming more relevant. Finding all your good habits & routines have changed and you are now working from home full time (like me) or maybe only one or two days in the office. And that’s changed too. Hot desking has become the norm as businesses move into smaller buildings. No more leaving your favourite mug on your desk because it won’t be your desk next time. And this working from home caper… I mean, What?? Many years ago, BC (before covid) I thought it would be great. I could get up when I like, go for a run anytime I wanted, fit in housework, meet with the girls… That doesn’t work. I’ve been working from home full-time for 18 months, and my routines are still all over the place. I just can’t seem to put a day routine in place at all. Time for a change and to lock it all in. My night-time routines are great. They never really change, even on a short break. They go like this… Dinner, shower, pj’s, cup of tea while watching a Hallmark movie (lol). There is minimal lighting and the occasional scroll through Facebook. Once in bed, generally before 10pm, I’ll have a quick read of a book (on kindle) and be sleeping shortly afterwards. My next Blog will be on sleep hygiene, so keep your eyes open (sorry, not sorry) for that one. I’ll give you hints & tips on how to manage your sleep.

In the next six months I’ll be talking about habit, routines, sleep, nutrition, strength & active aging.
